Water (H2O) is made up of 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen (H2O). Hydrolysis means, etymologically, decomposition by water. Electrolysis is a process that generates hydrogen and oxygen by means of electricity and water.

When the electric current passes through the water the chemical bond is broken, the negative charges or oxygen ions emmigrate towards the positive electrode (anode). The hydrogen ions that are positively charged are attracted by the negative electrode (cathode). The decomposition that occurs is the following:

Electric energy +2 H2O --> 2 H2 + O2

This results in an extra negative element, seeing how in the combination the umber of electrodes exceeds by 1 the number of protons. Now it is one sole hydroxide negatively charged, or a hydroxyl ion. (OH-)

In HYDROLYSIS there are a number of secondary chemical reactions, that produce ionic species with oxidant and disinfectant abilities, like the ozone (O3), monoatomic oxygen (O1), and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2).

The electronic circuit in our electronic box transforms the current (220 V, 50 Hz) into continuous current of low voltage and HIGH amperage. This current is supplied by titanium electrodes activated by noble metals located in the recirculation of the water in a support especially designed this purpose.

In these non soluble electrodes a combination of one of the most powerful oxidants in existence for water disinfection is created, avoiding the use of chemical products.

 

The component combination of 2 Copper and Silver with disinfection capacity increases of ample form the effectiveness of each of our systems, if in addition in the case to the cold water, it leans with the presence of a third party that is matched (chlorine), the progression disinfectant is geometric.

The contribution of metals to the water as disinfectants apparently come from the antiquity where the Phoenicians in the amphoras of ceramics and copper already introduced currencies of silver for the conservation of the water.

The producing ion reaction (in the anode) is the following one:

Cu++ Cu2+ + 2e-

Ag++ Ag+ + 1e-

The technology of Cu/Ag ionization available today was developed by the NASA in the beginning of the space program, with the intention of counting on a safe method of water purification to take it to the space.
